Typically, our saunas are open Wednesday-Sunday each week. If you're not seeing availability for your day it's most likely because we're all booked up! Feel free to add yourself to the waitlist and we'll let you know if plans change.

Can I bring more people than is listed can fit in the sauna?

While we love your enthusiasm and would love to have more folks enjoy the sauna, we cannot accommodate groups larger than listed.

If you'd like to rent both Montville saunas or both mobile saunas at the same time to accommodate larger groups, please send us an email or just go ahead and book the times you want.

Do you have plans to host another sauna building workshop/can you help me build my sauna/give me advice about a new sauna business?

Not at this time. I get several inquiries a week regarding this, and am quite busy running the business and carving out personal time.

When starting my business in 2020, I did many hundreds of hours of research, utilizing saunatimes.com, all the sauna books, learning carpentry, studying other businesses' websites and social media, local entrepreneur resources in my state, visiting other existing businesses, etc! Visit as many saunas as possible to understand how you want it to function.

What is a Public Session?

Our community sessions provide an opportunity to meet your neighbors and sauna at a more accessible price. By booking a spot in a public session, you're reserving one seat on the bench. You'll be saunaing with new friends.

Currently, we're offering public sessions, silent public sessions, and queer public sessions.

How should I prepare for my visit?

Accepted Answer

Come hydrated after a light snack, arrive early to allow time for parking. Due to limited space in the sauna, please bring minimal possessions. Dress in a swimsuit, bring a large water bottle, beach footwear and a towel (we no longer provide towels).

You'll arrive to a pre-heated sauna with small changing room, fresh water for rinsing, essential oils for steam (löyly), and a cold plunge tub. We'll share a brief orientation and be available on-site should you need anything.

How do I book with a gift certificate?

If you'd like to book with a gift certificate purchased before August '24, email cedargrovesauna@gmail.com with your name and the gift certificate number. We will reply with a code that you can use on our new booking system.

Have a code from a handprinted or digital gift certificate? Just click the "redeem coupon or gift certificate" button on our booking page and apply to any session, sauna, or location!

Please note: If there is a difference between the sauna you'd like to book and the value of your gift certificate you're able to pay the difference when booking.

Please check the forecast and consider road conditions during the winter! If you don't think you're going to make it to your session please consider cancelling or rescheduling prior to the 24 hour refund window for a refund. There is a link to do both in your confirmation email.

If we need to close for inclement weather we try to make the call 24-36 hours ahead of time and will cancel your appointment via email and provide a refund.
